What type of cookies do you offer?

I specialize in sugar cookies decorated with royal icing. My signature flavor is lemon sugar. 

 

What is the difference between holiday cookies, general occasion cookies, and custom cookies?

• Holiday Cookies-I offer predesigned cookies for holidays/special days like Valentines's Day, Easter, Teacher Appreciation, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc... They are sold through pre-sales, flash sales, and pop-up shops. Options include single cookies, 2 and 3 cookie sets, and by the dozen. I package the cookies in heat-sealed bags with ribbons, toppers, or in boxes. Holiday cookies are perfect to give as gifts.

• Custom Cookie Orders- Custom cookies are created just for your occasion based on the the theme. I create your one-of-a kind set using invitations decorations, colors, and other information the customer shares. Custom orders start at $65 a dozen with a minimum 2 dozen order.

 

How do I order Custom Cookies?

You can request a custom cookie quote by filling out the Cookie Order Inquiry form. Prices start at $65 a dozen and up depending on the number of details and colors on the cookies. There is a 2 dozen minimum on custom cookie orders. I cannot give you an exact quote until I know the theme and details of the order. Can you provide samples of custom cookies before I order?

I am sorry, but I cannot provide samples of custom cookies before you order since each custom cookie set in unique and one-of-a-kind. I use photos, invitation, and any other information submitted to help me develop the set. I usually have to order supplies before I can begin creating your designs for your custom cookies. Having full artistic license allows me to creat a set of cookies you will love. I always search for the best cookie cutters, stencils, and colors to compliment your theme. Can you make a set of cookie just like a picture I found on social media?

There are so many great photos of cookies on social media and Pinterest. I can use them for inspiration, but I will not copy them exactly. It is kind of equal to plagiarism in the literary world. Cookiers spend a lot of time creating their own unique designs and I want to honor that by not making an exact copy. Photos of cookies can give me an idea of what you are looking for and I can use them to create unique designs for your cookies.

 

Can you make character or licensed image cookies?

Due to copyright issues, I do not make character or licensed image cookies (i.e. Sports Teams, John Deere, colleges). I can definitely make cookies to match the party theme and design without making character, or licensed image cookies.

 

Can I book if I have not decided on a theme?

Yes, it is a good idea to book with me in advance since I take limited custom orders, so I can book up quickly. Please let me know your theme as soon as possible in case I need to order cutters or other supplies. Please note, I am unable to give you an exact quote until I know the theme and details that need to be added.

 

How do I place a custom cookie order?

You can put down a nonrefundable deposit of 20% of your total order to hold your spot on my calendar. Full payment is due no later than 2 weeks before your delivery date. I will send you an invoice via Square and it must be paid in full within 48 hours of receipt to hold your spot. If it s a larger order and we have the time, I can split up the payments.

 

How do I get my cookies?

My delivery day are usually Thursday or Friday. For holiday orders, I will designate a location, date .times, and places in Clay County and the Jacksonville area.

 

What do I do if I need to cancel an order? Can I get a refund?

You will receive a refund of monies paid after the 20% nonrefundable deposit if the order is cancelled two weeks in advance. If you cancel less that two weeks in advance, no refund will be issued.

 

Why are decorated cookies so expensive?

Each order I make, from 1 dozen to 10 dozen, takes 3-5 days. It is a process of making dough, rolling, and baking. Mixing and coloring royal icing which can take 1-2 hours depending on the number of colors. Then the decorating process begins with outlining and then flooding. Detail work can include airbrushing, painting, and adding details with royal icing. Finally I package and deliver the cookies. 

 

Do you ship?

No, I do not ship. I operate under the Florida Cottage Food Laws and they do not allow shipping. I love personally delivering all my orders.

 

What is the Florida Cottage Food Law?

The Florida Cottage Food Law allows individuals to operate out of their home kitchen and sell certain types of baked goods person-to-person. Please let me know if you have any questions.
